The Parsifal Pursuit

Christmas Secrets By The Sea by Jane Lovering

christmas secrets by the sea

After having featured this book in my Books to Read This Christmas, this book has also made into my Best of 2018 list. The story makes you laugh. It also makes you cry. It gives you hope. It makes you believe that we all deserve a second chance – a second chance in life and love. This RomCom is a must read this Christmas

Scoundrels by Major St. John  Trevelyan and Major Victor Cornwall

Where do I start? The story is gross, funny, vulgar, hilarious, quirky and weird! I don’t think I have ever read such a story before. And excluding the other books in this series, I don’t think there is any other book that can match this one! I have laughed so hard that my tummy started to ache and I had tears in my eyes (tears of joy???!!). Having said that, this book is not for those with a weak tummy! And Cornwall’s poems – Amen to that!

NOTE: Some of these books were published in 2017. I have included them in the list as I read them in 2018.

  1. We only have the bicycle Thief in common! But a great list! 😄

  2. I have been wanting to check Lambert’s book after your suggestions but I take time to read so am pretty full with christmas themed books ryt now. So have kept it for next year. And others I have only heard of truth about Archie through your review. So yeah haven’t really come across the others 🙈

    1. 😀 I will be concentrating more on classics and Indian writing next year. Or atleast that is what I have planned. 😂😂

      1. Me too! At least the second half of next year am planning to read Indian authors. I noticed a lot of interesting ones by other Bloggers! 😄

      2. I have come up with a reading challenge for next year. It’s called British Crime Classics Challenge. If you are interested, you are welcome to join. 🙂 Came across many bloggers who write reviews on classic crimes. 🙂
