Antique Bookshop Mysteries by Laura Gail Black features Antiquarian bookseller Jenna Quinn’s amateur sleuthing adventures. Within months of moving to Hokes Bluff, she finds herself in the middle of (almost) every murder investigation that happens in town – not necessarily as one of the suspects.
#1: For Whom the Book Tolls
Jenna Quinn arrives at Hokes Folly to assist her Uncle Paul at his antique bookstore. When she arrives at his apartment late in the night, she uses the key he’s left for her below the mat. The next morning, Uncle Paul is nowhere in the house.
Thinking he’s already at the store, Jenna opens the door that leads from the flat to the store… only to find Uncle Paul at the bottom of the stairs, dead.
#2: Murder by the Bookend
Jenna Quinn is reopening her Uncle Paul’s antique bookstore. Linus, Holly Fokes library’s Director of Antique Books is invited to the event. He arrives with his dog, Eddy.
After the party, Jenna sees Eddy running away from the parking lot. On further inspection, she and Keith (detective/boyfriend) finds Linus lying in a pool of blood.
#3: Bound by Murder
Love is in the air and everything’s fine in Jenna’s life until her ex-fiancé comes to her bookstore with his bride-to-be/bridezilla in tow.
On their wedding day, Missy goes missing. Jenna finds her dead in the dumpster behind the bookstore. Blake is arrested for the murder and his mother, Gwendolyn starts to pester Jenna to prove her son’s innocence.
