The Best Books of 2018: Thriller, Crime, and Mystery – The Book Decoder

It’s halfway through December and it’s time to update your 2019 reading list. Before I say goodbye to 2018 (in bookish style), I would like to share a list of my favorite reads. Since I started this blog in June, I will be including only those which I read from June to December.

Spine-tingling, mind-numbing, mind-blowing and jaw-dropping, I read quite a few interesting thriller and suspense books this year.

A perfect blend of politics, modern-day terror attacks, and Intel, this book will take you on a nail-biting adventure through the streets of London.

Some sinister is happening all over the world. Certain species of animals are dropping like flies. And this has something to do with a horrific experiment that was funded by Hitler during the era of Third Reich.

A mind-blowing psychological thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The secrets that family members keep from each other, the underworld and what not, this book is a perfect read for those who love Suspense.

Yet another psychological thriller that will take you on a roller-coaster ride. Secrets, murders, frauds and what not, this book is a page-turner.

Note: This book’s releasing on March 13th, 2019

What happens when you mix con, mobsters, spies and a mug or two of Horlicks? A Lot Of Nerve! The story has oodles of fun, suspense, and mystery.

This book is the perfect blend of family, relationships, dark secrets, and crime.

Jack The Ripper and Struwwelpeter have something in common. Inspector Lestrade investigates this mystery in the quirkiest way ever! This book is a wonderful Sherlock Holmes pastiche by M.J. Trow.

The story of a husband-wife detective duo, a murder, a play and a denouement. Amory and Milo Ames are the new Tommy-Tuppence in town!

I highly admire you for your dedication to read book religiously. I mean, how someone can read so many books!!!:-D

Thanks, Abhay. 😀 I want to read even more books than I read right now. 😉

One question. Do you remember all the books that you have read. Question Two. Are you doing your academics, or working! 😀

I don’t remember the story point to point, but I remember the gist of it. And no, I am neither working nor studying. Had a facial paralysis five years ago and I am still in recovery mode. 🙂

Oh!! So sorry…
You inspire! Keep reading and sharing. Thy say “Books are the best friend”. Prayers from me for your fast recovery.

I take it as a part of learning. 🙂 I have been brave all this while so no issues there. Thank you for your prayers. 🙂

Indeed! That reflects in your indefatigable spirit. I have heard from many that adversity is a learning curve. But I guess, it needs indomitable courage

this is awesome rekha!

Thanks, Vandana 🙂
